The PSI Transcom depot management system automates parking procedures. Based on the timetable, the vehicles currently available and other requirements for operations, the system continuously calculates in advance where vehicles should park and their assignment to tours. The previously calculated parking position is displayed to the driver on the board computer and/or a stationary display.

If an event, for example a technical problem, occurs, the affected vehicle is removed from the previously planned space, and parts of the parking scenario are immediately recalculated. Vehicles with technical defects are not scheduled again until they are reported as ready for operation.

The assignment of tracks or bus lanes and the detailed parking strategy are tailored to meet the requirements of each individual customer. If a tour cannot be filled, the system sounds an alarm, allowing the dispatcher to take the necessary measures.

The features described here not only minimize shunting or relocating operations, they also mean that fewer vehicles are required for the same number of tours.
