Berlin, Büdelsdorf, July 31, 2002 – PSI AG has been commissioned with the creation of an efficient network management system for directional transmission equipment. This is a component of the new UMTS-Network to be constructed. The new COMM-system (Central Open Management System for Microwave) gives MobilCom the capacity to employ the directional transmission equipment of various manufacturers and manage it uniformly.
With this system MobilCom has the capacity to manage the complete directional transmission network system under a uniform service philosophy. The emphasis is on an effective fault management, a uniform configurations management, and performance management. The system enables MobilCom to continue to maintain its standards as a high quality, innovative provider among network operators.
With this commission PSI has been able to win a new customer for the COMM-system. The system has been used successfully for years by other mobile phone providers. PSI markets this solution worldwide. It is particularly geared towards network operators who do not possess their own fixed networks.
