PSI AG Realizes eGovernment Portal for the Berlin Residents' Registration Office

Berlin, 3 March 2003 –PSI AG has been awarded the contract for the realization of an eGovernment portal by the Berlin Residents' Registration Office. With the portal authorized authorities have the possibility to call up data from the State of Berlin registry online. Simultaneously, the prerequisites for a cross-regional integration of the registration system and prospective use of the electronic registration information for companies is established. The state residents' registration office will be able to significantly increase the efficiency and ergonomics of the processes by using the portal. The order has a volume of Euro 250,000.

The information portal is based on the XMeld interface, which was developed by PSI in conjunction with the Berlin State Residents' Registration Office in the framework of a standardization committee. The portal will make it possible for the Berlin State Residents' Registration Office, which has the largest registry in Germany, to access all the information within a few seconds.

PSI and the residents' registration office continue to be involved in the standardization processes with the aim of driving the Germany-wide exchange of data between offices in the framework of eGovernment. PSI has already completed numerous IT solutions for the modern state and has, with this order, again made an important contribution to the balanced community.

PSI AG develops individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,300 persons in the group.
