Berlin, 9 September 2002 – The PSI subsidiary UBIS has been charged with the operation of the Business Location Center by the Berlin Business Development Corporation. This consulting center for investors, unique in Europe and located in the Ludwig Erhard Building, is a multimedia platform in which information about government positions and private providers are collected in a central system, intelligently linked and made available in a flexible manner. The volume of the order is 1.5 million euros and has a term of three-and-a-half years.
The information system ordered by the Berlin Business Development Corporation for the City of Berlin was primarily developed by UBIS. The forms of presentation used and the visualization techniques are unique in Europe. By linking the technology and design information can be viewed either via the Internet or directly in the virtual reality showroom in the Ludwig Erhard Building in multimedia form. With this portal the City of Berlin points the way in the international competition as a home for business. At the beginning of September the Business Location Center won the European E-City Award as the best urban Internet offer for enterprises.
