PSI AG: Positive Trend in Production Management Business New Orders for 34 million Euros, 8.5% more than previous year

Berlin, 15 September 2003 – In the first eight months of the current year PSI has increased the order entry in the Production Management business by 8.5% compared to the previous year to 34 million Euros. With that the positive trend from the first six months has continued for this segment in the third quarter. Especially the business areas metals, process and logistics have contributed to this development with double-digit increases.

The new orders come from, amongst others, renowned companies in the PSI target branches. In the field of metals PSI has been charged with providing a process control system for a new continuous casting line by Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH. EGM GmbH, a subsidiary of the Johann A. Krause GmbH, a member of the ThyssenKrupp Group, has decided to use PSIpenta.com with more than 100 users. EGM produces top technology in the field of special mechanical engineering for the automobile industry.

In the field of logistics RWE Net AG, a long-time PSI customer in the energy field, decided on a warehouse administration system from PSI. This success reconfirms the group strategy introduced at the beginning of the year of gaining additional business potential by means of increased cross-sales activities.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,250 persons in the group.
