PSI Increases New Orders in Electrical Energy Segment

Berlin, 14 January 2004 – PSI AG has obtained a noticeable increase in new orders in the Electrical Energy Segment since the end of the third quarter. New orders for control systems were placed by Emscher Lippe Energie GmbH (ELE) and Lechwerke AG (LEW). In addition, PSI has realized the control technology for another central switching station for the Deutsche Bahn electrical supply and a meter management system for the Swiss BKW FMB Energie AG. The total volume of the new orders since September, in the Electrical Energy Segment alone, is nine million euros.

Together with the order received last spring for the partial renovation of the RWE primary switching line, PSI is in a good position in 2003 and proved its solid customer bonds in the German energy market. The international new orders of VA TECH CNI, the joint venture with the Austrian VA TECH, also prove the technological quality and competitiveness of the PSI control systems in the international market.

PSI AG develops individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,200 persons in the group.
