PSI Remains on the Road to Success in the Oil and Gas Market New control system generation to be launched soon

Berlin, 27 August 2003 – The PSI AG again reports a convincing number of new orders, € 13 million, in the oil and gas business in the first seven months of 2003. The orders consist of the entire palette of PSI services for the oil market and the liberalized gas market. Amongst these are systems for gas planning, contract management and disposition, for communication between business partners, invoicing and control systems.

With this PSI AG once again underscores its excellent position and the solid customer bonding in the German oil and gas market. The new orders from the foreign gas suppliers DONG (Denmark), Gaznat (Switzerland) and additional portions of an existing contract with Gazprom (Russia) represent especially good news.

The 4th generation of the control system PSIcontrol developed with major gas and oil suppliers will soon be completed and introduced to the market. With the system, which will set the standard in the oil and gas field, it will be possible to replace existing systems for about 40 customers. The initial launch will occur this year at Mainova, GASAG and Ruhrgas. The new PSIcontrol V7 will be introduced to the general public at the gat 2003 conference on 4 and 5 November 2003 in Munich.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,250 persons in the group.
