PSI Streamlines the Energy Management Product Portfolio after Acquiring debis Gas Management Business - Sale of Interest in IRM Ges.m.b.H.

Berlin, 29 June 2000 - PSI AG, Berlin has sold its 51% interest in the Viennese IRM Ges.m.b.H. to HTA Beteiligungs-Invest AG, Vienna. By selling its shares of IRM, PSI is streamlining its product portfolio in the Energy Management Business. With its acquisition of the debis Systems Gas Management in the end of May, PSI became the market leader in gas management solutions for the European energy market. A number of overlappings in the energy management product portfolio resulted from the acquisition.

 

PSI had acquired an interest in the Viennese start-up in March 1999. IRM currently has a staff of 19 and gained a result of DM -0.5 million with a turnover of DM 2.4 million. By selling the shares of IRM, PSI further increases its profitability in the energy business.

 

After the acquisition of the debis business and after divesting the IRM shares, PSI has own, comprehensive and integrated solutions available for the deregulated energy markets in Europe. The solutions consist of network management, energy trading, transmission and invoicing of electrical energy, gas and oil.
