Berlin, 28 November 2019 – The Sächsische Dampfeisenbahngesellschaft mbH (SDG) has contracted the Moveo Software GmbH, a subsidiary of the PSI Transcom GmbH, with the implementation of the operating personnel disposition Profahr. The commissioning of the disposition solution for the current 102 employees is planned to begin as early as the end of the year.

At SDG, the data had to be re-entered for every work step in duty scheduling and payroll accounting, a costly and resource-intensive process.

"With the new integrated solution, we simplify internal processes, avoid redundancies and duplicate entries and have all the data available quickly and up to date," says Stefan Schwarz, Head of Rail Transport at SDG.

"The Profahr clientele has grown further with SDG and now numbers over 60 companies," says Moveo Managing Director Alvar Schulze. "This order is exciting not least of all because tradition and modernity merge so wonderfully here. This demonstrates that even today the two worlds do not have to compete with each other", adds Matthias Kramp, also Moveo's Managing Director.

SDG, based in Annaberg-Buchholz in Saxony, operates the narrow-gauge railways Radebeul Ost-Radeburg, Freital-Hainsberg-Kurort Kipsdorf and Cranzahl-Kurort Oberwiesenthal. It was created in 2007 from the former BVO Bahn and since the beginning of 2019 has belonged to the Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS) and Oberelbe (VVO). Every year, the company transports well over 600,000 passengers with steam locomotives and historic cars through Saxony's attractive tourist regions.

Based on its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy networks, energy trading, public transport) and industry (mining, metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs almost 2,000 persons worldwide.
